Colour & Sample Matching

Professional colour matching for furniture, kitchens and restoration projects.

At Hagues Restoration Services, we specialise in matching existing colours, paint samples and finishes to achieve a seamless result across restored, refinished and newly finished furniture.

Professional Colour Matching for Furniture

Colour matching is an important part of achieving a high-quality restoration or refinishing result.

Whether you’re looking to match an existing piece of furniture, replicate a particular colour or create a finish that complements your interior, we assess each project individually to achieve the closest practical match.

We work with both traditional and modern furniture, as well as kitchens, cabinets, tables, doors and other painted or finished surfaces.

What Can We Colour Match?

•Painted Furniture

Match existing painted furniture when refinishing, repairing or updating a piece.

•Kitchen Cabinets

Create a colour match for existing kitchen doors, cabinets and surrounding furniture.

•Wood & Stained Finishes

Match existing wood tones and finishes where possible.

•Paint Samples

Work from physical paint samples or colour references.

•Existing Furniture

Match a new or refinished item to furniture you already own.

•Repair Areas

Help repaired sections blend with the original colour and finish.

Our Colour Matching Process

01 — Assess

We examine the existing colour, surface and finish to understand the requirements of your project.

02 — Match

We select and adjust the appropriate colour and finish to achieve the closest possible match.

03 — Test

Where appropriate, we produce a test sample before proceeding with the full project.

04 — Finish

Once the colour has been agreed, the furniture is professionally refinished to the required specification.

Every Colour Match Is Individually Assessed

No two pieces of furniture are exactly the same.

Age, lighting, previous finishes, fading and the condition of the original surface can all affect how a colour appears.

For this reason, we assess every item individually rather than relying solely on a colour code or photograph.

Where possible, providing a physical sample gives us the best opportunity to achieve an accurate match.
